When DBS (Development Bank of Singapore) tasked us to design the internet portal for their corporate customers, we knew they meant business. Literally. The challenge for our team was to ensure that whenever the customer used the DBS IDEAL portal, it would be a functional, professional, and productive experience. For this to be achieved, we had to look into every aspect of the user journey – from the user interface design, to the flow of information, to follow-up communications – to make sure it was structured, systematic and logical. There could be no room for unforeseen obstacles. Every transaction the customer makes via the portal has to be absolutely smooth. Our involvement goes beyond the portal itself, as we provide design support on other communication channels, including a comprehensive guide for designing eDMs, so that any message delivered by the bank received total exposure to the customer.
